Glastonbury Festival Style: Get the Look

by Nicole Adlman Fri., Jun. 28, 2013 5:03 PM PDT

What To Wear

The 2013 Glastonbury Festival commenced yesterday with festival-goers arriving with tents, flower crowns, and wellies in tow. The Somerset event lasts for four days, with many concert-goers roosting in groups—the more the merrier, right? This year's performances will feature major acts, including Arctic Monkeys (set to hit stages Friday), The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons and country legend Kenny Rogers.

In years past, festival trends have been similar to the hippie-wear found at Coachella: denim cut-offs, military boots, flowing button-downs or maxi dresses are par for the rockin' course—but this year stands to add a few new trends in the mix! We expect to see midi skirts (the better to show your boots with), sneaker wedges, and feather headdresses making their way into the festival-fashion lexicon.

But to start, have your basic gear ready, like a pair of comfy bottoms, a lightweight anorak, matching rain boots, and decorative headwear. The weather can change quickly—from mud-inducing showers to a sunny, damp heat, so it's best to have your sunglasses and a durable raincoat on hand.

We particularly like a pair from Warby Parker (Percey in Cream Soda), and a Topshop anorak in a deep military green with plaid detailing. Rain boots could go from the classic short or tall Hunter styles, to something fun and printed (like a polka-dotted Cath Kidston pair from Asos). And what would a festival be without some sort of flower wreath? A faux floral-topped headband makes the style easier to wear (and less likely to wilt).

But Gasto girls aren't always toting flowers: Supermodel Kate Moss is one famous attendee who has put a more minimalist look in action, attending past Glastonbury Festivals in black ensembles (including the ubiquitous mud-smeared wellingtons). Other celebs who have attended the event include Emma Watson (who likely attended the festival in one of her eight pairs of shoes), Sienna Miller (who was seen greeting actor Chris O'Dowd at this year's fest in black shorts, lace-up boots and a printed jacket) and Alexa Chung (who brought her boho sensibility this year in a floppy hat, camel peacoat, and dark skinnies).

Kelly Osbourne Vogues With "Male Clones" on Phineas and Ferb—Watch!

by Cinya Burton Fri., Jun. 28, 2013 6:00 PM PDT

Even when she's not on Fashion Police Kelly Osbourne can't help but share her style opinions. In these sneak peeks of her guest hosting appearance on Friday's Phineas and Ferb Cliptastic Countdown, the star tries to help her male costars with their wardrobes.

The star thought Major Monogram's look was too "uniform-y" and advised Dr. Doofenshmirtz to ditch his signature lab coat for a cape, which she thought better suited the evil scientist.

VIDEO: Kelly talks healthy diet tips

Unfortunately for Kelly the duo decide to take her fashion suggestion a little too far. They return wearing the exact same outfit she has on—including her nude pumps and lavender ponytail!

"Now I know what it would be like if I had two middle-aged, male clones," she quips upon seeing them.

To try and make up for their clothing misstep the twosome try and prove they are in fact fashionable by vogueing, which Kelly happens to love. So in the spirit of style, the threesome have a little vogue party.

NEWS: Kelly shows off her bikini bod!

Clothing wasn't the only thing the trio joke about though. With Kelly taking the top host spot, a demoted Dr. Doofenshmirtz tries to figure out who is "second banana." Of course, he believes he  deserves that slot, naturally. And Kelly always the sensible one, points out there are "no bananas!"

Kelly's apperance on the animated show was, of course, all for fun. The E! star has plenty of practice around kids, she is an aunt to brother Jack Osbourne's adorable daughter, Pearl.

Phineas and Ferb Cliptastic Countdown hosted by Kelly Osbourne" premieres Friday, June 28 at 9:30 p.m. on Disney Channel.

Anne Hathaway Looks Pretty-As-a-Picnic-Tablecloth in Bright Pink

by Jessie Rosen Fri., Jun. 28, 2013 6:00 PM PDT

Did the costume department and prop department get their wires crossed on Anne Hathaway's latest film set?

We know this sweet and simple look is clearly a sundress, but the tight checks and color do look a tad like a waitress uniform...made out of a table cloth. We blame the crisp cotton and baggy cut.

NEWS: Check out Anne's other big news, the brown hair is back!

This look on The Dark Knight Rises star does make us wonder what her new flick Song One is all about. Based on this costume, we assume it has something to do with a lovely young woman strolling about the city during springtime...on her way to the 1950s diner where she works.

Alec Baldwin Apologizes for Using Gay Slurs: Twitter Attack Had "Nothing to Do With Issues of Sexual Orientation"

by Natalie Finn Fri., Jun. 28, 2013 6:30 PM PDT

Alec Baldwin Splash News

Alec Baldwin had some cleaning up to do after spewing vitriol all over Twitter last night.

The 30 Rock star, who deleted his entire Twitter acount after going off on a Daily Mail writer who reported that Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, was tweeting "upbeat posts" during James Gandolfini's funeral, has issued an apology for making anti-gay remarks in his captured-in-screengrabs rant.

In the tweets in question, Baldwin called reporter George Stark a "toxic little queen," repeatedly referred to him as a "little bitch" and threatened to "f--k [him] up."

A cooler head seemed to prevail Friday.

"My ill-advised attack on George Stark of the Daily Mail had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone's sexual orientation," Baldwin said in a statement to GLAAD.

"My anger was directed at Mr. Stark for blatantly lying and disseminating libelous information about my wife and her conduct at our friend's funeral service. As someone who fights against homophobia, I apologize.

"I have worked, periodically, with numerous marriage equality organizations, especially over the past couple of years, to achieve the very rights that gay couples are earning by recent court decisions. I would not advocate violence against someone for being gay and I hope that my friends at GLAAD and the gay community understand that my attack on Mr. Stark in no way was the result of homophobia. Many Thanks, Alec Baldwin."

Both Baldwin and Hilaria blatantly denied that she had been tweeting mid-service for Gandolfini, stating that multiple witnesses saw that she had left her phone in the car.

It also turned out that Stark didn't note the time difference and, in his article (which no longer exists on the Daily Mail's site), he failed to add three hours to the West Coast timestamps he saw on Hilaria's tweets to adjust them for East Coast time.

And while it's rather apparent that Baldwin still has a beef with Stark, or at least with what he wrote, GLAAD voiced appreciation for the actor's attempt to right his tweeted wrongs.

"Alec Baldwin is making it clear that the intent behind his tweets does not excuse his language, especially at a time when there were 11 incidents of violence against gay men in New York City just last month," said Rich Ferraro, GLAAD's VP of communications. "As we all work to end such senseless acts of violence, allies like Baldwin are right to use these moments to reinforce support for the community and LGBT equality."

The Emmy winner also sought to clear the air earlier today in a chat with Gothamist.

"The idea of me calling this guy a 'queen' and that being something that people thought is homophobic...a queen to me has a different meaning," Baldwin said. "It's somebody who's just above. It doesn't have any necessarily sexual connotations...I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn't have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don't apply to them."

"I'm not interested in offending anyone," he said. "If homosexuality was an issue for me, I would have moved out of New York years ago. I find that laughable."

Told by Gothamist that The Dish's Andrew Sullivan was classifying Baldwin's rant as "not just hate speech" but also a "specific call" for  violence against a gay man, Baldwin responded, "I don't think it's a call for violence against a specific person because they're gay, it's a call for violence against a person who lied about my wife."

He and Hilaria were also spotted leaving their NYC apartment building with luggage today—a perfectly timed weekend getaway if there ever was one.
